ALL-SOURCE ANALYST (JOURNEYMAN) - CBP/OFO - 12428
Virginia Beach, VALMI is seeking a senior All-Source Intelligence Analyst for on-site support at a Homeland Security in in the Ashburn, VA area.
Each day, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of business intelligence support service to promote efficient trade and travel. Further, effective intelligence support and big data solutions help CBP ensure the movement of people, capital, and products is legal, safe, and secure. CBP Office of Field Operations (OFO), National Targeting Center (NTC) provides timely intelligence and information to help keep our Nation safe, secure, and resilient. In addition to providing operational intelligence to CBP organizations to prevent terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, OFO/NTC also manages CBP programs and projects to support emerging needs and capabilities required for intelligence operations, intelligence analysis, and mission readiness.
Responsibilities
In response to this challenge, we are seeking a capable, qualified individuals to serve as an all-source intelligence analyst to support and collaborate with analytical counterparts across the U.S. Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will:
- Apply a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities in compiling data into finished-draft analyses and reports.
- Perform extensive multi-INT analysis, produce technical intelligence reports in support of special programs and provide expertise and leadership in the development finished intelligence products, assessments, and recommendations.
- Plan, direct and evaluate research of geographic or functional areas.
- Provide timely and objective assessments based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analytical tradecraft of all sources including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, OSINT, law enforcement, and other data.
- Prepare finished analytic products, assessments, briefings, and other written or oral products on current threats and trends.
- Employ analytic standards and appropriate tradecraft, methodologies, and techniques to identify gaps in available information.
- Produce finished products that are strategic in nature and can identify the impact to operations as well as identify information gaps to help improve collection posture.
Qualifications
Required Education/Skills:
- 5+ continuous years of work experience in multi-Intelligence experience which includes a solid understanding of the SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, Open-Source, and Geospatial intelligence disciplines and a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrable critical thinking, advanced research, problem-solving, operational and leadership experiences.
- Expert understanding of analytic standards and appropriate tradecraft, methodologies, and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
- Areas of expertise must include at least two (2) of the following: CI, CT, CP, Cyber, Language(s), Geographic, Socio/Economic and Cultural, Science and Technical Intelligence.
- Self-motivated, creative, willing to work as a member of a team, organized and able to manage individual schedule.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.
- Previous CBP, OFO or NTC experience desired.
- Foreign language skill desired.
- TS/SCI Clearance is required with ability to receive a CBP Background Investigation.
