CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - 12753
Anywhere, USA; Anywhere, USALMI seeks a skilled Construction Project Manager responsible for assisting Customs and Border Protection (CBP), US Border Patrol (USBP) to execute its Trucks acquisition, deployment, and sustainment program, which generally consists of the life cycle planning and execution of various truck-mounted surveillance platforms. This position will support the deployment of the Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) Mobile Portfolio Trucks program which supports Modular Mobile Surveillance System (M2S2), Mobile Surveillance Capability (MSC), and Mobile Video Surveillance System (MVSS) platforms being acquired and deployed to remote border locations primarily along the Southwest border. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. Position is based in the Washington Metropolitan Area or in proximity of the southwest border with some CONUS travel required.

Responsibilities
You will serve as a Construction Project Manager for the client’s linear technology. You will facilitate the client’s technology construction deployments by:
- Serving as agency representative for assigned project(s), responsible for a successful execution of the Mobile/Trucks Program
- Being responsible for successful project execution including management of scope, schedule, budget, risk, and contractor performance
- Being responsible for ensuring timely elevation of project issues through the Planning and Project Execution Team for resolution
- Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks, issues, and opportunities for assigned project(s)
- Serving as the project expert and spokesperson for the project(s) with responsibility to present, explain, and defend program management issues and directions to higher-level official in CBP, DHS, and other government agencies and interested public groups as requested by the Program Manager.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), Engineering, Business Management, key stakeholders, and other offices throughout the project life cycles
- Coordinating all project related outreach efforts
Qualifications
- Background Investigation: Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation required.
- Education & Experience: Master’s degree in business, management, finance, or information management with 10+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or High School diploma with 25+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in: Acquiring, deploying, and sustaining technology systems.
- Experienced leader with: 3-5 years in a related team-lead role with 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of MD-102.
- Engineering and project management for DHS or DoD in communications and sensor technology.
- Technical Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Excellent Communication & Problem-Solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational Skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets.
- Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
