Washington, DC; Anywhere, USALMI is seeking a Strategic Communcations Specialist to support a federal program management office in Washington, DC. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation.
The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that align with the company's mission and values. This role involves crafting internal and external messaging, managing branding, and supporting various projects, including federal contracts and marketing campaigns. The position offers the opportunity to engage with diverse audiences across multiple platforms. This position is located in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies tailored to specific audiences, including employees, clients, and partners.
- Create, edit, and distribute content for newsletters, press releases, reports, and social media platforms.
- Manage Agile Group's external branding and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Support internal communications, including announcements, team updates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communication deliverables with project goals.
- Analyze communication effectiveness through metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to incorporate best practices into communication strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within government contracting, professional services, or a related industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment.
Desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with SharePoint for collaboration and content management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, for graphic design and visual content creation.
- Familiarity with communication and social media tools, such as Canva, Hootsuite, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
