As our Mission Engineering Manager, you’ll define the architecture, guide the accreditation path, and lead the engineers that make it real. You’ll be the technical backbone of our delivery—ensuring every system is secure, compliant, and ready to perform where it matters most.
This position requires a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
We need a Mission Engineering Manager who can define the north star for our systems and lead the technical delivery that gets us there. Think of this role as our solutions architect meets delivery commander—you’ll own the architecture, the ATO strategy, and the engineering teams that bring our solutions to life. From RFID deployments and network design to site surveys and principal engineering, you’ll oversee the teams that ensure our technology works flawlessly in the field.
This role is equal parts strategist, architect, and hands-on leader. If you thrive on complex technical challenges, know how to balance compliance with innovation, and want to guide mission-critical solutions from design through delivery, we want you.
What You'll Do
- Set the north star: Define andmaintainthe system and architecture vision across pilot effots, ensuring they are set up to scale for larger deployments.
- Oversee engineering teams: Lead RFID engineers, network engineers, survey teams, and principal engineers delivering across projects.
- Solution architecting: Translate mission requirements into scalable, secure, and interoperable system designs.
- Guide technical delivery: Ensure project engineering teams are aligned, resourced, and executing to standards.
- Mentor & grow talent: Coach engineers across disciplines; raise the bar on technical rigor and delivery quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product, PMO, and customer success leads to deliver solutions that meet mission and compliance needs.
- Risk management:Anticipateand mitigate technical, compliance, and delivery risks before they impact customers.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in system architecture or technical leadership.
- Strong expertise in systems design, DoD ATO/RMF strategy, and large-scale technical delivery.
- Proven track recordleading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Knowledge of networking, RFID/IoT systems, and cloud/edge integration.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain andmaintaina Secret or higher clearance.
Bonus Points For:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Systems Architecture, or related field.
- Direct experience with DoD accreditation processes and IL5/IL6 deployments.
- Familiarity with RFID, IoT, or large-scalelogisticssystems.
- Previousrole as a solutions architect, principal engineer, or engineering manager in defense or aerospace.
Target Salary Range: $100,000 - 150,000
